Register a consumer access app for MEDAZ FHIR API access

Complete the following steps to register your app for consumer use:

• Review our Terms of Use and API Access Agreement
• Review our API documentation including the list of freely available FHIR API resources.
• Email medazapiaccess@medaz.net from your work email to get credentials for our sandbox environment. A self-service feature to register your app is currently under process. Following registration, your app will be provisioned for all active MedAZ FHIR API consumer access endpoints, which can be accessed in a machine-readable format here.

Registering a provider or system access app The following information applies to provider and system access app developers connecting with MedAZ FHIR APIs.

• Review our API documentation including the list of freely available FHIR API resources.
• Email medazapiaccess@medaz.net from your work email to get credentials for our sandbox environment. A self-service feature to register your app is currently under process. Following registration, your app will be provisioned for all active MedAZ FHIR API consumer access endpoints, which can be accessed in a machine-readable format here.

• Develop a working app demo, connecting with the Med A-Z FHIR sandbox environment.

Following the testing of your working app demo, your app will be available for clients to consider for implementation.

For both public and confidential clients, once your app is authenticated, an access token with lifespan of 10 minutes and a refresh token with lifespan of 3 months are issued by Med A-Z. On expiration of your access token, you can use the refresh token to generate a new access token.
